Dal 2004 c un nome nuovo nel panorama dellindustria

italiana del design: Luxit. In realt si tratta di una novit solo
nominalistica, della semplice variazione della ragione sociale
di una realt imprenditoriale, la Luxo Italiana, presente sul
nostro mercato ormai da quasi quarantanni, da quando cio,
nel 1967, fu costituita la filiale italiana della Luxo norvegese.
Nel 1979 la filiale divenne una vera e propria azienda,
gestionalmente e produttivamente autonoma rispetto alla casa
madre scandinava, della quale tuttavia continuava a fabbricare
alcuni modelli contraddistinti secondo il tipico imprinting del
design nordico, unattenta ricerca in fatto di funzionalit,
ergonomia, eleganza formale e semplicit costruttiva.

avvalsa e tuttora si avvale di designer di gran nome e
prestigio, da Hans Ansems a Isao Hosoe, da Yaacov
Kaufman a Perry King & Santiago Miranda, da Alessandro
Mendini ad Alberto Salvati, AmbrogioTresoldi e Francesco
Lucchese. In collaborazione con loro ha messo a punto un
repertorio di creazioni stilisticamente straordinarie, ma anche
funzionalmente ed ergonomicamente ineccepibili, concreti
esempi, spesso destinatari di premi prestigiosi, di come la
ricerca formale possa avere ricadute virtuose e innovative
anche sul versante tecnologico.
Tra loro , il prodotto di punta era certamente la L-1 disegnata

nel 1937 da Jac Jacobsen, la leggendaria lampada da tavolo con braccio a pantografo compagna fedele e insostituibile
delle scrivanie e dei tavoli da disegno dei progettisti di tutto il
mondo. Un classico del design contemporaneo la cui
distribuzione in Italia venne affidata alla Naska Loris
ingenerando lequivoco fosse stata questa ditta, e non
Jacobsen e Luxo, a idearla e a realizzarla.
L-1, che pure permane e con successo nel catalogo di Luxit,
non comunque il solo best-seller di Luxit allora si chiamava
Luxo Italiana n tanto meno domina la sua strategia
produttiva e commerciale. Fin dal 1979, infatti, lazienda,
che ha sede a Presezzo (Bg), ha scelto la via della diversificazione suddividendo la propria attivit in due branche ben
distinte: le lampade di design e i sistemi integrati di illuminazione.
Nellambito delle lampade ha perseguito una politica di alto
profilo mirando a combinare unestetica molto identitaria e
uningegnerizzazione tecnologicamente davanguardia,
ricettiva dei continui miglioramenti dello stato dellarte in

ampliata con apparecchi luminosi destinati alla casa. Grande
favore hanno , in questo senso, incontrato le collezioni Art Box
e Art Light che annoverano le invenzioni di designer di caratura
internazionale, ovvero riproducono opere di grandi artisti
come Karim Rashid, Andy Warhol, Joan Mir e Salvador
Dal, e, pi vicini a noi, litalo-americano James Rizzi e
Alberto Salvati, geniale ideatore della tecnica del frottage.
I sistemi di illuminazione, per quanto rappresentino una
divisione ben distinta rispetto alle lampade di design e
percorrano una strada produttiva differente, ne costituiscono,
da un punto vista di filosofia progettuale, lideale complemento. Come le lampade infatti, sono il frutto di unappassionata
e incessante ricerca dedicata a trovare, in questo caso per
uffici e grandi ambienti, le soluzioni illuminotecniche pi
efficaci. E pi rispondenti alle esigenze del committente giacch
non derivano da una fabbricazione di serie, ma da realizzazioni su misura. E come le lampade esprimono con pienezza
il senso della vocazione di Luxit: recepire nuovi stimoli, nuove
suggestioni, nuove ide per dare alla luce un vestito
razionale ed elegante in sintonia con le tendenze pi
avanzate del XXI secolo.

In 2004 a new name appeared on the Italian industrial design

scene: Luxit. Indeed it is new in name only, a simple variation
of an actual entrepreneurial style, Luxo Italiana, in the market
for almost 40 years, when, in 1967, the Italian branch of the
Norwegian Luxo was established.
stylistic creations has been compiled which are, without

exception, also functionally and ergonomically irreproachable
and, frequently, have been assigned prestigious awards.
They are examples of how formal research may have remarkable
and innovative results on the technological side.
In 1979 the branch became a firm in its own right,

autonomous of the Scandinavian mother house, both as
regards management and production, but for which, nevertheless,
it continued to make some models noted for a typical Nordic
design imprint: a careful research as regards functionality,
ergonomics, formal elegance and simple construction.
Recently this commercial technology line has been further

enlarged with the apparatus for light sources for the house.
In this way the collections Art Box and Art Light which number
the inventions of designers of international fame, or they reproduce the works of great artists such as Karim Rashid, Andy
Warhol, Joan Mir and Salvador Dali, and closer to us the
Italian-American James Rizzi and Alberto Salvati, the ingenious
inventor of the technique of frottage, have met with great success.
Amongst these models the leader was certainly the L-1

designed in 1937 by Jac Jacobsen, the legendary table lamp
with the pantographic arm, faithful and irreplaceable companion
on the desks and drawing tables of designers throughout the
world. A classic of contemporary design for which the
distribution in Italy was entrusted to Naska Loris causing the
misunderstanding that it was this firm and not Jacobsen and
Luxo which conceived and produced it.
Although L-1 persists with success in the Luxit catalogue it is not

the only best seller of Luxit which then was called Luxo
Italiana nor does it dominate its production and commercial
strategy. Since 1979, in fact, the firm, which has its seat in
Presezzo (Bg) has chosen the route of diversification dividing
its activity in two branches: design lamps and integrated
lighting systems.
In the sphere of lamps it has pursued a high profile policy
aimed to combine an identifiable aesthetics and an
avant-garde engineering technology, receptive to continual
improvements in the state of the art in electrical engineering
and electronics. In order to reach this fusion designers of
great name and prestige were, and are still being, availed
of, from Hans Ansems to Isao Hosoe, from Yaacov Kaufman
to Perry King and Santiago Miranda, Alessandro Mendini to
Alberto Salvati, Ambrogio Tresoldi to Francesco Lucchese.
In collaboration with them an inventory of extraordinary

distinct from the design lamp and that they follow a different
productive route, constitute, from the point of view of design
philosophy, the ideal complement. In fact, like the lamps, they
are the result of a keen and unceasing research dedicated to
finding, in this case for offices and big surroundings, the most
efficient solution for lighting techniques. They are more in
keeping with the needs of the consumer as they do not derive
from mass-production but from a made to measure
production. And so the lamps express fully the sense of the
vocation of Luxit: to gather new incentives, new suggestions,
new ideas to give birth to a rational and elegant dress in
tune with the most advanced trends of the 21st century.

La lampada Art Box - Art Light si basa sul principio di una semplice scatola luminosa come quella usata dai fotografi per visionare diapositive e negativi. Guardando la nostra riproduzione
artistica illuminata dal retro, losservatore vede in sostanza una
diapositiva ingrandita.

lamiera di acciaio verniciato sul quale montata una lastra in
metacrilato opalino con sovrastampati 4 soggetti artistici scelti
tra le collezioni Andy Warhol e Alberto Salvati. Quadro illuminato da una circolina fluorescente da 22W G10q che oltre
ad evidenziare le immagini artistiche come e pi che in Art Box
e Art Light, crea una piacevolissima cornice luminosa.
Elaboration of the Art Box- Art Light lamps. Frame structure in

painted steel plate on which there is mounted an opal methacrylate sheet overprinted with 4 artistic images chosen out of
Andy Warhol and Alberto Salvati collections. Quadro is lighted
by a 22W G10q fluorescent circline which, besides emphasizing the artistic images like in Art Box Art Light, creates a very
pleasant luminous frame.

alla posizione di volo planato. Si abbassano lentamente e
tornano alla posizione raccolta, appena si spegne.
Version with special Memory Metal (MM) springs which,
when the lamp is switched on, expand and raise the two
wings to the gliding position. They slowly lower and return to
their closed position when it is switched off.

Quand la lampe est allume la chaleur fait monter les ailes
en position haute. A linverse, les ailes redescendent lentement
quand on taint.

Capostipite di tutte le lampade da tavolo con braccio bilanciato, questa lampada, che oggi un classico famoso in tutto
il mondo, rappresenta il simbolo del gruppo LUXO. Fu realizzata nel 1937 ed tuttora un grande successo internazionale.
Numerosi i premi ottenuti in varie nazioni. In Italia venne
importata sul finire degli anni 50 e poi prodotta nello stabilimento Luxo di Presezzo a partire dal 67. Naska Loris ne cur
la distribuzione fino al 1979 quando Luxo Italiana cre la propria rete vendita.
Since 1937 this lamp has excited the envy of all producers in
the world. It is the fore-runner of all articulated self-balancing
lamps and it has been distinguished by all the most prestigious
awards in the world of industrial design. In Italy it was imported
from Norway in the late fifties and in 1967 production started
in the Luxo factory outside Bergamo.
Depuis 1937 cette lampe suscit lenvie de tous les
producterus dans le monde entier. Devenue, depuis, le symbole
du groupe LUXO, elle fut la pionnire dans le domaine des
lampe bras auto-quilibrs et par le fait, fut distingue par
de nombreuses rcompenses dans le monde du design industriel. Elle fut importe de Norvge en Italie la fin des annes
50. En 67 la production commena dans lusine, base non
loin de Bergame.
Die legendre Tischleuchte mit balanciertem Arm ist heutzutage
ein Klassiker des zeitgenssischen Designs und ist Symbol der
gesamten LUXO Gruppe. Diese Lampe wurde im Jahr 1937
entworfen und bekam zahlreiche Auszeichnungen in der
ganzen Welt. Sie wurde seit dem Jahr 1967 in Italien
hergestellt und, bis zum Jahr 1979, als Luxo Italiana einen
eigenen Verkaufsmarkt aufbaute, von Naska Loris srl verkauft.
La cspide de todas las luminarias de mesa con brazos
compensados, esta luminaria que hoy es un clsico famoso
en todo el mundo, representa el smbolo del Grupo LUXO.
Fue realizada en 1937 y es la autora de un gran xito
internacional. Son numerosos los premios obtenidos en varias
naciones. Se fabricaba en Oslo y a partir de 1967 se inici
la produccin en la fabrica de Presezzo en Italia.
