Description

I’ve been shifting more of my body image content lately to help you focus first on body respect. Because before anything else, you need to respect yourself and your body, first.   When you immerse yourself in the intuitive eating/non-diet world it can be common to feel as if you need to immediately love your body and feel positive about it at all times. And then you feel shame if that’s not your reality.   But we live in a world where thinness is idolized, so it makes sense that it's not as easy as it seems. It’s also way less about saying “I love my body” and more about how you treat it.   I hope you walk away from this episode knowing that body love doesn’t even have to be the end goal. But if it is for you, it may be challenging due to cultural conditioning and fat phobia. Be compassionate and patient with yourself as you learn this new skill!   Positive body image is less about what your body looks like, and more about developing self esteem and self worth that is not dependent on what your body looks like, and more about body respect, meaning you treat your body with respect no matter what it looks like.   Because you don’t have to love your body to respect it! And you don’t have to constantly micromanage your body to take care of it. You can learn to trust your body, and come home to your body. You can take care of yourself, because you deserve to, no matter the size or shape of your body or health status.   Listen to today’s episode to learn more and walk away with my 5 tips to practice body respect starting today and everyday going forward.   Resources from the episode: Intuitive Eating book and the Body is Not an Apology   Use the code NOURISH for 10% off your Primally Pure order for the entire month of August.   CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE WAITLIST FOR THE NEXT ENROLLMENT OF PERMISSION STAGE PLAYBOOK (enrollment opening this week!)   CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE WORKSHOP: WHY DIETS DON’T WORK   Resources for you: Learn more about our services at Nourishing Minds Nutrition.
