Description

Dr Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of Afghanistan’s High Council of National Reconciliation’s visit to Delhi comes a few days after his visit to Islamabad. In Dehi he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and apprised him of the ongoing intra-Afghan dialogue that is underway in Doha. He noted that continuation of high-level of violence across Afghanistan remains a cause of concern and peace in the strife-torn country is coming at a cost. "Peace is not as urgent for anybody as it is for people of Afghanistan," he said to ThePrint’s National and Strategic Affairs Editor, Jyoti Malhotra in the latest edition of #ThePrintUninterruped. He underlined the desperate need for these talks to go through, Pakistan’s role, India’s continuing support and why progress remains slow.
