Description

Amy Jean Davis is an animal rights and vegan lifestyle advocate, a spokesperson for the national Animal Save Movement, and founder of its Los Angeles Animal Save chapter. The movement is a collective of local grassroots groups dedicated to raising awareness about the plight of farm animals and to help and counsel people to become vegan. There are now 560 groups in the US, Canada, Europe, the UK, South and East Asia, Mexico and Latin America. Amy is also the co-founder of the Love Always Sanctuary -- a vegan animal sanctuary in San Fernando California. She is a co-producer of the documentary film Earthlings, which used hidden cameras to record daily practices of the animal livestock industry. Amy holds a degree in Public Horticulture from Purdue University; she was trained in plant-based nutrition from Colin Campbell's program at Cornell University and is active in promoting vegan pregnancy nutrition for raising vegan children.
