Dr. Berg answers the question, does keto decrease fitness performance. In 2012, there is a study that demonstrated that keto does not affect strength performance in elite gymnasts and 2018 another study, that there’s a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation in deep sea divers. And the other study with cyclist, when they are in keto their endurance was not compromised. It is not the carbs that build muscle, protein and strength training helps build muscle.
