Hello Jimmy and Doc, I've been listening to Keto Talk almost every day since I’ve found you. Thank you very much for this very valuable resource. I gotta ask you something that’s been bugging me, though—what's up with The Doc's love of bacon? Every bacon package I've ever looked at has sugar, maple syrup, or both in the ingredients list. Is the sugar amount so negligible that we don’t need to worry about it? Thank you for explaining this to me. Where did the extra 4,000 calories worth of energy come from to power my hiking excursion when I only consumed 2,000 calories? Dear Jimmy and Adam, I really appreciate how Keto Talk helps listeners put the science of ketogenic living into practice. The fact that you two live what you teach is awesome. I listened to some of your shows when I was doing my N=1 experiment of a 30-mile hiking adventure powered mostly by ketones. Almost no carbs were consumed doing this—just water, MCT oil, and some exogenous ketones along with a low-carb meal in the evening. At the end of the experiment, I felt great. Although I love to run I walked for this experiment at a steady heart-rate of 100 to 115 BPM. My question for you is this: While I burned around 6,000 calories according to my FitBit data, I consumed only about 2,000 calories mostly from leafy greens, olive oil, macadamia nuts, eggs, coconut oil, and MCT oil to satiety. How did I burn 6,000 calories while only consuming 2,000 calories in my diet? Thanks! I’m Keto4Life! What happened to that mental clarity and improved mood that I experienced from my ketogenic diet early on? How do iI get them back? Hey guys, I’m a 34-year old male and have been keto for a little more than a year and have lost 40 pounds while improving health issues
