could not have given me

through a human face
it happened long ago
our friendship shows us how
an event so unforeseen
still happens here and now
in our broken history

Che cosa posso chiamare la mia casa? Qual'è la mia
famiglia? Da dove vengo? Qual'è la mia storia? Qualcuno
tanto tempo fa è salpato attraverso il mare ha lasciato la sua
terra nativa alla ricerca della libertà
Quando era salito a bordo era sicuro a ciò che mirava, che
cosa cercava? Aveva nostalgia di casa in una terra così
lontana? Ha perduto la propria memoria quando il suo nome è
cambiato?
Ha venduto la sua storia in cambio dell'illusione di un mondo
nuovo che non poteva trovare oltre la sua mente sognante?
nella nostra terra di libertà,dimmi, hai mai visto il piano
ideale,l'uomo fatto da sè?
E così George Washington ho trovato la libertà che Abraham
Re Lincoln non mi avrebbe potuto dare. Per favore dì ai tuoi figli
orfani che ho infine trovato una libertà più grande di quella che
egli abbia potuto vedere nel suo sogno Americano.
Le onde di grano color dell’ambra non saranno mai più le
stesse perché Dio ha mostrato la sua Grazia attraverso una
faccia umana.
E' avvenuto tanto tempo fa, la nostra amicizia ci mostra come
un evento così imprevedibile accade qui e adesso. Nella
nostra storia spezzata c'è una nuova realtà se tu sei più
consapevole di quanto osarono i sognatori, vieni e condividi la
nostra libertà, seguici e vedrai una nuova nazione, una nuova
creazione, una nuova creazione.
