Gente. Ho un Hero 8 con la nuova mod Media. Stoked!

Tuttavia, un caso d'uso importante per me è usare la fotocamera come WEBCAM (come ho fatto
con il mio Hero 3 Black). Certo, ho dovuto aspettare il mio Media Mod ...

La mia configurazione: Adesso. Ho collegato il mio Media Mod al mio GoPro8 e ho fatto uscire
l'HDMI attraverso il Mini registratore Blackmagic Design nel mio nuovo MacBook Pro 2019 .

Problema: Non riesco a ottenere il feed video dal vivo. L'unica cosa che viene fuori è il contenuto
che ho precedentemente registrato, in altre parole, vedo solo una serie di miniature dal contenuto
sulla mia fotocamera.

Osservazione: Il touchscreen su HERO8, tuttavia, diventa completamente nero MA quando

tocco lo schermo posso ottenere il contenuto per iniziare la riproduzione (ma visualizzato come
sorgente della videocamera sul mio Mac).

From the hero 5, 6, 7 and now the Hero 8 gopro acts as a Remote control, see nothing wrong
with that?

Connecting to a Big Screen with an HDMI Cable
Media Mod has a micro-HDMI port that lets you connect your HERO8 Black to an HDTV.
You’ll be able to see your photos and videos on the big screen or to use it to preview your
shot. Plug a micro-HDMI cable (sold separately) into your Media Mod, and then choose
an HDMI setting in your camera’s Preferences menu.
1. From your camera’s main screen, swipe down to access the Dashboard.
2. Tap Preferences > Input/Output > HDMI Output.
3. Scroll through the options on the right and choose the one you want.

Option Description
Media (default) Play back your media on an HDTV.
Display your camera’s live view with camera
Monitor
info on an HDTV.
Display your camera’s live view without
Live
camera info on an HDTV.

Heads Up: 4K preview and playback on a 4K TV will be displayed in full resolution at a

maximum of 30 frames per second. The maximum resolution while recording is 1440p for
4:3 content and 1080p for footage shot in 16:9.

If this still doesn't work it's possible that the Black Magic Design Mini Recorder input does
not match the output of the media mod. You will need to contact Black Magic Design for
further support as this product is not made or supported by GoPro.

I wonder since I got the fw 1.60 that gopro will make a adaptor only for hdmi NOT A Media
module, charge $29.00 for it will people buy it for just the playback and webcam?

[SOLVED] QUICK UPDATE:

I am a dummy. I did not realise that I could use the controls on the camera to navigate out of the
SD MEDIA browser. So, in the last test I did just that, clicked on the 'Camera' Icon and got a clean
feed into my Laptop.

I still have some image quality/res issues but these are related to my Blackmagic Recorder and
not the GoPro.

Thanks to everybody chiming in to help me - much appreciated.

You cant use 8 w Media Mod as webcam. Once you plug in Media Mod the only option os "output
- audio media mod"
