Meterials adopted with modifications the SimPlate Total Plate Count Color Indicator (TPC-C1):
Detection and Quantification of Total Aerobic Microorganisms method as Official First Action
during the November 6, 2002 conference call. The method was assigned an Official Methods
number 2002.07 A notice of the adopted method will be published in the AOAC magazine, Inside
Laboratory Management, and in *For Your Information’ in the AOAC Journal. AOAC staff editors
prepare the collaborative study manuscript for publication in the Journal. The method will be
published as part of the collaborative study and will be included in the Official Methods of Analysis
(2003) 17th edition, 2 revision.
