About this ebook

"The Raven" is the sequel of the work entitled: "The final surrender". In the First Volume (Part I), the recurring character is a servant of God called to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom to all men without favouritism or social barriers, fully aware of the fact that before the return of the Lord, he would have to face many trials and fight the good fight of faith. In the current Volume (Part II), the man of God will meet at the brook Cherith a man nicknamed "The Raven" who impersonates "the natural man" who does not receive the things of the Spirit of God because they are madness unto him, and he cannot know them because they have to be spiritually judged. For no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. In contrast, "the spiritual man" judges all things, and he himself is judged by no one (cf. 1 Corinthians 2:14-15). Last but not least, you will see through these two characters, that all men can be freed from sin and become servants of God. But, before that would occur, you have to strip yourself of the "old man" born according to the flesh and clothe yourself of the "new man" born according to the Spirit by virtue of the promised inheritance (cf. Ephesians 2:8 - salvation by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, the Lord).

    The Raven - Antonella Brofferio

    Introduction

In this second narrative, we will compare two characters: The man of God and The Raven.

Despite the first character being a servant of God called to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom to every creature, prevailed in him the natural aspect of the interior man due to sin. Therefore, having begun in the Spirit, he reached perfection with the flesh.

Disobedience to God's Word; the lack of faith due to the anxious concerns of life; the lack of forgiveness and love for one's neighbour are burdens that hinder the believer's Christian journey.

    "Therefore,

    I say to you,

do not worry about your life,

    what you will eat or what you will drink;

    nor about your body,

    what you will put on.

Is not life more than food

and the body more than clothing?

Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them.

Are you not of more value than them?

Which of you by worrying can add

    one cubit to his stature?

"So why do you worry about clothing?

Consider the lilies of the field,

    how they grow:

    they neither toil nor spin;

and yet I say to you that even Solomon

in all his glory was not arrayed

    like one of these.

Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, ye of little faith?

    "Therefore,

    do not worry, saying:

    ‘What shall we eat?’

    or

    ‘What shall we drink?’

    or

    ‘What shall we wear?’

For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. Butseek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the dayisits own trouble (Matthew 6:25-34).

Now, a born-again Christian believer believes that faith is assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Otherwise, it is not true faith.

The Word of God is not based on human rationality and consistency criteria, but according to Christ's doctrine.

What does the Word of God say

    on this matter?

"If you forgive men their trespasses,

your heavenly Father will also forgive
