With his golden curls and butter-wouldn’tmelt expression, growing up Brenton Tarrant seemed just like any other little boy.
By all accounts, he was born into a loving family, his mother was a teacher, his father a binman.
Brenton wasn’t interested in school and studying.
He tried to join the rugby team, but didn’t do well.
His parents, who were well-respected in the community, split before he was a teenager, but it appeared the family coped well.
