STILL WAITING...

It has been over a month since former Gujaratwas sworn in as a member of the legislative council in Uttar Pradesh. Speculation was that Sharma, a loyal Modi aide who took voluntary retirement to join politics, would be given a berth in the Yogi Adityanath cabinet before the budget session. The session began on February 22, but Sharma continues to be an MLC. His supporters have given up hope of their boss becoming a minister. The purpose of his entry into UP politics remains unknown.
