INTRODUCTION
Every day I hear this question more and more. Wellness is generally used to mean a healthy balance between mind, body and spirit, leading to a general sense of well-being. This is a good explanation of what well-being is. But we can take it a little deeper. People are extremely busy today in the world, frustrated by the economy and all other feelings. We have to remember that you don't need an enormous budget to achieve total wellness and can always be better than where you are by making simple steps.
My focus in this book is to give people more energy and knowledge focused on achieving goals and returning to the path of wellness. This is the best time to expand your knowledge, either in the industry you are in or in other industries, in today's economy with the loss of jobs and other financial hardships. Returning to school is perfect for brain stimulation. Perhaps you don't want to go back to school, so take a book and start reading.
Exercise is difficult to come by now, but it will actually increase your energy and stimulate your brain and nervous system. So take a quick walk, run, or do simple yard work.
Each person defines spirituality somewhat differently. I go to school in my religion and read the scriptures. Some people may want to do some profound meditation just 15 to 30 minutes a day. This helps you to feel more grounded and satisfied.
Social health is defined as going out and meeting people or hanging out with friends and family. Wait for parties and have fun.
The environment is also a big one. This is about the air you breathe into the water quality you drink. These are important for your health as well as eating good food and sleeping well. With over 3200 toxic gasses in the air, today's air quality in our homes is typically worse than external air. Now that's a frightening thought. The water is even more alarming.
To achieve complete wellness, continue reading this book. It takes time and discipline and keeps them balanced as life continues.
CHAPTER ONE
Understanding Of The Wellness?
Wellness now is all the fury. Wellness coaches, wellness experts, wellness practitioners are available, and the list continues to grow. Optimal health was always seen allopathically as disease-free, so essentially if you weren't sick, you were considered healthy. This outlook has slowly begun to change. Most people agree that the absence of disease, disease or symptoms is a component of wellbeing, but it doesn't indicate if you really are well or healthy.
Wellness is not only a health-related mentality and perspective but also a particular lifestyle. A lifestyle that can include certain nutritional parameters, such as chemicals or processed or refined foods. Perhaps it also concerns the maintenance of certain body weight, including aerobic or anaerobic exercise regimes. A wellness model can also control other recreational substances such as cigarettes, alcohol and illicit consumption of drugs. Meditation, breathing exercises and Yoga are some others that may include just a few. These are all an example of variables that can be included when discussing wellness and that can be checked by the person who includes them in his wellness model.
Other common approaches to wellness include dental examinations, examinations of the eyes and chiropractic adjustments. These are just three examples of proactive wellness specialties that focus on optimal function and not only wait for a problem in case of crisis. Can you imagine if your dentist said, Wait until you are in a lot of pain to come and then see me?
I am confident that by the time you are in pain, you'd have a lovely cavity! Or how about your chi-practitioner saying the very same thing, Wait till the back blows out just before you finally come and see me.
Statistics show that persons, who exercise, avoid high-fat and health proactive foods have fewer absences from work and less frequently access medical services than others who do not. One paper in the Journal of the American Medical Association reported that the wellness
approach in a single study led to a 17% decrease in total medical visits and a 35% decrease in medical visits for minor diseases. The subjects participated in a year-long self-care program.
Lifestyle factors are found to be the most important factors in the general health and well-being of an individual. Expanding our knowledge and training can help people to make better choices about their daily lives and health and lifestyle goals. The choices we make will affect many aspects of our daily lives, our level of energy, our mood, our feelings etc. It may be too late to leave those decisions for someone else to give us a tablet or conduct a procedure. The secret is to learn how to develop habits and decide to provide consistent self-care. The traditional medical model focuses on the treatment of symptoms and on the treatment of disease. The wellness concept enables people to take responsibility for our best well-being decisions and lifestyles.
Being proactive and focused on prevention can make a person's physical, emotional and spiritual well-being optimal. Wellness could then be said to be a continuously active process in which we continue to learn, learn and enhance our decision-making to achieve a better well-being experience. Adopt behavioral habits and routines that promote better health and quality of life.
The quality of life of a person can be defined individually, but wellness is an approach to optimal well-being that concentrates on the whole person.
With simplicity, we can define wellness as the integration of body, mind and spirit, and understand that we can have a more significant impact than any other person, place or thing on our individual state of health and well-being and then take action to enhance many aspects of our life.
The triangle of mind, body and soul, the Wellness Triangle, is the basis of well-being.
People new to well-being usually come to one part of this triangle, such as exercise, diet or stress relief (meditation). As important as these activities are, the whole Wellness Triangle is even more important to understand.
This post introduces the Wellness Triangle and provides ways to improve the connection between mind, body and soul.
The body is the part of the Wellness Triangle that has been most discussed by far, and it makes sense to start there.
• Body: There are two key ways of improving your body: exercise and diet. Both are important for general well-being because your body is a temple and must be treated as such. Below are some tips for improving your body:
o Yoga – Yoga is one of
