enjoyed your October 5, 2020, online article about Medal of Honor recipient, Sgt Darrell S. Cole, USMCR, particularly since my uncle served in the 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines, 4th Marine Division. Like Cole, my uncle made all four of the division’s amphibious landings. His battalion commander, Lt. Col. Justin M. Chambers, was awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions during the fighting to take Iwo Jima.
