I work as airline cabin crew, mainly flying out of Cardiff Airport, which is a handy 50-minute drive from my home.

How I got here…

I fell into hairdressing following school and, two years later, worked in a factory making landline phones for three years. Then I secured a job in a travel agents as an admin assistant. It was partly this that sparked my interest in seeing the world, but also a lady called Bev, who lived in my village (Abercarn, near Newport in South Wales), who suggested that I apply to Inter European Airways for a job as cabin crew. I didn’t get that particular role, but I’d been bitten by the bug. Eventually I bagged a job
