    ‘Bullying’ tactics mar Eggs ahead for women entrepreneurs mine extension talks

    ENVIRONMENTAL activists representing communities affected by Tendele’s Somkhele Coal Mine expansion have hit back at local leadership and mine stakeholders saying they will not tolerate aggressors and bullies.

    This comes after community leaders and stakeholders on Monday accused Global Environmental Trust (GET), the Mfolozi Community Environmental Justice Organisation (MCEJO) and Youens Attorneys of delaying and failing to prioritise mediation processes, choosing litigation instead.

    MCEJO and GET are legally challenging the mines’ 222km2 expansion and compliance on behalf of families not willing to make way for the mine and those who are yet to finalise relocation and compensation agreements.
