Word Paintings
Descrizione
From the mirror of our imaginations come life impressions.
Vivid word impressions thru poetry
As writers we like to get the last word in. The visual artist begins and the writer picks up where the paintings stop. We create visceral visual word art that encompasses all daily streams of life.
Come along for the scenic ride of our life art. Open your imagination and see what we can illustrate in yours.

Word Painting
(LDY)
Poetry
Comes from the heart
And soul
Just like
The old blues music
Was born
Out of pain
Poetry
Comes from the same place
Poetry
Is painting
With words
Creating an image
That is felt
But not seen
To create a visual
For the reader
Use your feelings
To paint the picture
You want to conceive
In order
For the reader
To see
Feel
Experience
All those things you do
Use your word painting
To draw
Them
Into
Your world....
Black Swan
(LDY)
A sign of disaster
Looming in our lives
These mythical
Dark creatures
Come and go
Without rhyme or reason
Or prejudice
Of man nor beast
Wreaking chaos
Wherever they
Cast their Shadow
Among the innocent
And brave
This too shall pass
As the light of the world
Shines down
To reveal
That it’s nothing
More than fearing
What we don’t understand
We’re a strong
And resilient people
We shall see our world
Return to a new life
Like a Phoenix rising
A new beginning
Forever changed
Hopeful for an optimistic
Restoration....
Hiding in the Forest
(LDY)
I long for the protection
Of the gentle giants
To comfort me
This world is
Forever changing
Rearranging
Blurring the image of life
As we knew it
The towering trees
Show me favor
As one who admire
Their stately
Encumbrances
I feel small
Sheltered in place
As the world grapples
With its own
Destiny
But I’m alone
Where it’s quiet
Nothing can
Harm me
Here
Where a tree
Remains a tree
Hiding me
In their forest....
Music Knows No Walls
(LDY)
Music has a divine
Way of inspiring us
Mesmerizing us
Slowing down the heart
Making us dance
Sing at the top
Of our lungs
Perpetrate other forms of art
Sound is colors
Music is the brush
We provide the canvas
In so many
Variations
Nothing can contain
It
Not a sound ordinance
Or a wall
Made of the hardest
Materials
Known to mankind
