MISTAKE #1: NOT ALLOWING ENOUGH TIME
One business-owner planning to open his first retail store hired us to do his site selection and negotiate his lease. Shortly thereafter, his stock began arriving. He informed us that if he didn’t open within a few weeks, he would miss the busy holiday shopping season entirely and would lose money as a result. Another tenant called us to inquire if our upcoming seminar that evening would help her negotiate her lease renewal. She went on to explain that her lease was expiring the very next day.
