About this ebook

Basically, I tell you about what God has been doing for me Because of one decisive move that I made. I decided to take God at His Word and dedicate myself to the tithe. Ever since then I have grown spiritually, financially and mentally as well as physically.
I also tell you of some things that I have learned from my own studies in the Bible. Sure, I have had pastors and teachers, but they didn't teach me everything that I needed to learn. So, the Lord had me study the Bible for myself.
I included The second mini-book that I had printed over 20 years ago, revised because I had learn quite a bit since then.

Everyone is eventually going to know your true motives.
God already knows them.
Flashy talk will not hide your true motives.
Fancy clothes and a proper job will not cover them.
A humble personality will not hide them.
Going to church will not hide them.
The real you, the you on the inside, will come shining through.
So why try to be someone you’re not?
God already knows who you are.

Why I use many versions of the Bible?

I do this because there is not one version that has every verse right; none of the modern versions have been translated directly from the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.  If I only used the King James you would get only a King James approach to God’s Word; likewise, if I only used the NIV you would get an NIV approach.  I wanted to share the clearest approach that I can so I must use many versions.  As an ancient saying that many people claim as their own goes, There is more than one way to go up a mountain.  I use many Bibles but you must let the Holy Spirit guide you.  And I suggest that you get many versions also.  In one version a verse may be quoted one way and in another the same verse is quoted a totally different way.

    Chapter 1

Hello… My name is Leonard Oscar Lawrence, but people just call me L.O.L.  All during the time while in schools of one sort or another when I would introduce myself people would laugh, I thought they were laughing at me.  I didn’t understand and it hurt, but now I understand and I like it because I love to make people laugh.  But really, my name is Winner Torborg.  I give fictitious names and dates because I don’t want to upset anyone; some people do get upset if you put their name in a book.

I was born on February 29th; but being born in the early 1960’s you would think I should be in my 50’s and I have only had 13 birthdays.  So, I guess, on my 10th birthday I turned 38 years old.  I guess most women, when they are little girls wouldn’t like to have a February 29th birthday; but when they are older they would love it because in their 60th year they can prove that they are only 20.

I am a teacher; I don’t have a teacher’s certificate, but I do have the knowledge.  My dilemma was how I can reach the multitude with what I have to teach them.  So, I began to write a while ago.  Now, this is my story.  You’ve heard of his story—or history—well, this is my story and it is a mystory.  But let me try and sort it out for you.  Na, my life is really no mystery, but I will tell you about it.

Ya see, many years ago I had an operation, that put me on the permanent disabled list… well, as far as the government was concerned at least.  I’m not disabled; if anything, I’m well enabled.  That is when I started to write, I first started with letters.

My dad, Ike, once told me that everyone has their own writing style and their own adaptations to grammar.  That helped me immensely because many books that I read have different grammar styles.  And then some people say that they can’t understand my books because my grammar stinks; I’m secure.  One guy who reviewed one of my books said, He writes like he teaches, and I do.

One time I met a guy who said that he used to be a journalist for the New York Times.  He said that now that he is retired he is going to get a book published.  Well, that’s good, but I talked to this guy a lot and he wrote some pages of that book, but he never got it published.  I wish people would be honest about what they are going to do; when they say that they are going to do something good they should do it, it doesn’t really matter how long it takes.  As long as they set their goal and go for it, that’s cool.  When I told him that I was writing books I was; in fact, now I have about twenty-one books on the market, under different names.  Oh, he may have written more than a few pages and tried to get published, but publishers don’t always comply with your desires.  To get a book published for free on the open market takes a lot of work and might
