Dedicated to our dear Kali,
who died on September 27th, 2011.
The unconditional love shown by dogs, is an example to the human race.
Kali, you are deeply missed.
"To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon
is to be back in Eden,
where doing nothing was not boring –
it was peace.
~Milan Kundera

"If spring came but once a century
instead of once a year,
Or burst forth with the sound of an earthquake
and not in silence,
what wonder and expectation there would be
in all the hearts to behold the miraculous change."
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Introduction
This collection of thoughts are vignettes of personal musings that express insights gained by living everyday life. Anyone who shares a curiosity for our human condition will surely relate to and voice their own intrinsic observations about this collective and profound journey called ‘Life’.
Our unique footprints as individual characters are unmistakable even though social programming tends to form a mode of expression that is familiar in a shared culture, generation or even religion. That strong longing to walk a distinctive path yet standing together as a community where guidance, support and acceptance is a vital component, remains a longing in any society. Alone and together, need not be a contradiction. It need not be separate.
To live and let live while imparting the originality of each personal existence has always been my own longing. Not ‘alone alone’ and not ‘together together’. Living life comfortably together alone, or alone together, is a vision of contentment; a symphony that plucks the strings in my heart.
Do people write because they feel lonely or to stay busy or even to keep the clouds of depression away? Perhaps all of those things. Whatever the reason, I
