    About the Author

    DEDICATED TO

Carrie Ada Lewis Laidler, my wife of 33 years, who by love of God and obedience to the Lord Jesus desires, chooses to be guided by the Word of God.

Alex and Nancy Rocha examples of How to be led by the Spirit of God…

While not fully knowing the deeper reward of How to be guided by the Word," their children, Anielly, Moses, and Emelly agreed to leave Australia for America, August 18, 2014.

Some of the members of my congregation who walked with Carrie and me…

They used their faith in God and by obedience to the Word joined in with us to become small real estate investors guided by the Word. We followed Rich Dad’s advice to purchase property and lease it, not flip it but produce residual passive income (Mark 12:1)

Early on they were Anthony Merrill and Terry Lynn Keys Broadnax, Samuel L. and Carolyn M. Bryant, Phillip Earl and Cappie D. Cooke Walker, and Cheryl Simmons Bullock. Later there were Joel Keith and Cassandra Robinson; and most recent, Alex and Nancy Rocha.

My very gracious readers and editors: astute, scholarly, resolute, but always gracious, Carrie Laidler and Cheryl Denise Baldwin Boddie…

Together they spent many hours using their meticulous melancholy brain-power to tweak my manuscript. Though not flawless, I am indebted to both of them for my first attempt to publish a book. I am totally responsible for any errors of grammar and syntax because of my self-imposed time restraints to get to my publisher before the summer.

Thank you for your prayers and support. As a slow-read, the subject of the book is my first attempt to tell a part of the Greatest Story Ever Told; the story of the first man Adam…and the Last Adam, Jesus Christ.

    PREFACE

After the new birth, the "Realization" of being born from above by the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, is the most important thing for a believer to be taught. The second most important realization is, How to be led by the Spirit of God. There are unseen forces at work whose sole purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy the faith of every believer. These forces seek to destroy everything believers need for a normal and productive life in the dimension of the spirit while living in their flesh bodies. Hence, How to be led by The Spirit of God becomes paramount. Without precisely being taught how to be led, believers waste half their lives a hoping and a praying that they are not missing the mark in being led by the Spirit of God.

According to the absolute universal law of balance, everything has its two sides. This means, everything has an opposite that is equal and we cannot have one without the other.

In order to prosper and achieve in this present age, we must know, appreciate and apply the absolute universal law of balance. If this is true, and it is, what is the other side of How to be led by the Spirit of God? God has to disclose Himself to man for man to know God exists. The self-disclosure of God enables the believer to live a balanced prosperous life.

Furthermore, the Bible clearly establishes an abiding principle that I call the two-fold witness principle. Our Father, the God of the Bible, the Great Creator, spoke by this Two-fold Witnesses Principle.

    Four examples are:

    (1) By the prophet Moses to settle capital murder cases. No one could be put to death without two or three witnesses (Deuteronomy 17:6). Other charges for lawlessness in general required two or three witnesses (Deuteronomy 19:15)

    (2) By the prophet Jesus who validated the two-fold witness principle in Law of Moses. He began with Moses and all the Prophets who are comprised of many powerful witnesses testifying about Him. (Luke 24:27).

    (3) Jesus requires us to use the Law of Moses to settle disputes in the church using at least two or three witnesses. (Matthew 18:16)

    (4) By the Apostle Paul who wrote to the Corinthian congregation. After he continued his missionary journey, they wanted him to prove his apostolic authority over the congregation. Paul applied the letter of the law, the two-fold witness principle, when he wrote three letters to the Corinthian church. He upheld the spirit of the law by writing three letters. (2 Corinthians 13:1)

If Moses, Jesus, and Paul operated within the guidelines of this two-fold witness principle of establishment, the believers must do likewise.

Today, many believers act as if they are above doing what their leader does. But Jesus taught us that we should never be above doing what our teachers have taught us; because when we become fully trained, we will be like our teachers.

Matthew 10:24 ²⁴ "A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. ²⁵ IT IS ENOUGH FOR A DISCIPLE that he be like his teacher, and A SERVANT like his master.

Our lives will demonstrate this two-fold witness principle when we honor our teacher. The new birth initiates us into "THE REALIZATION OF LIFE" lived in the Spirit of God. We can have absolute divine confidence and know How to be led By the Spirit of God. It is possible to know beyond the shadow of doubt when and how to be led by the Spirit of God. Stop hoping and a praying that you are led by the Spirit of God. Start knowing for certain you are led by the Spirit of God. If everything has two-sides or two witnesses, or if we always have two or three witnesses, who or what is the second witness to being led by the Spirit of God?

The Bible is the first witness for the believer who is led by the Spirit of God. Scripture and Scripture alone is the first witness in the two-fold witness principle of establishment. When we are guided by the Word of God, the Spirit of God is the second witness; and when we are led by the Spirit of God, the Word is the second witness. Believers must decide to live by biblical principles and spiritual inspiration. When we are led by the Spirit of God it is much easier to have a more fulfilling purpose and to aspire to be great in the Kingdom of God serving.

This two-fold witness principle of establishment is at work whenever we are led by the Spirit of God and guided by the Word of God. Together they establish the manifold salvation of God in the earth. My acronym for the six concepts of salvation under the New Covenant is "D.R. L.I.P.S."

    1. Deliverance – was physical out of Egypt

    2. Regeneration – is spiritual, it is the new creation image of God

    3. Liberation – is psychological after physical deliverance

    4. Immunization – was healing by looking at the bronze serpent on the cross

    5. Preservation – was during the probation in the wilderness 40 years

    6. Securitization – was the gold borrowed from the Egyptians

The broad definition of salvation includes regeneration – the impartation of the life of God into the very spirit of who we are in Christ Jesus. Salvation by regeneration through the blood of Jesus Christ has five basic concepts:

    (1) Wholeness

    (2) Deliverance

    (3) Healing

    (4) Preservation

    (5) Soundness

It is the believers’ responsibility to pray for everyone in authority to come to a saving faith and to an acknowledgement of the Truth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The first witness is the knowledge of the Truth about God and is a reference to the letter of the law. (I Timothy 2:1-6)

The second witness is the Holy Spirit. When He comes into our lives, He himself brings Christ in with him. Get a picture of this in your mind. We invite Jesus Christ into our heart or the very spirit of who we are. This decision activate the Holy Spirit of God because He is the Spirit of Christ. (Romans 8:9, 1 Peter 1:11) CHRIST is THE IMAGE OF GOD. (2 Corinthians 4:4) Once we ask and receive Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit of God comes into our heart and bring with Him Jesus Christ. The Spirit of God, who is the Spirit of Christ, anointed us with Christ Jesus who now lives and dwells in the very spirit of who we are. (1 Thessalonians 5:23) In this way, the Spirit of God leads us into all truth, the truth about the Way, the Truth, and the Life" about how Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. (John 14:6) This is the spirit of the law, or the spirit of the letter or the spirit of the Word of God. (Titus 3:4-7)

    1. Wholeness is the first concept of salvation by regeneration; this is what I call, Salvation by Destination - heaven.

As proof that God would deliver Israel out of Egypt, God promises the children of Israel that they would actually worship, serve and sacrifice to God on a mountain. That mountain was named Herob and also named Mt. Sinai. Mt. Sinai was only a three days’ walk into the wilderness. Because of their lack of faith in the promises of the LORD God, spiritual rebellion against God, and personal desires to return to Egypt, the journey took 40 years. (Exodus 3:12, 18; 19:11, 18, 20, 23; 31:18; 34:2, 4, 29)

    2. Deliverance is the second concept of salvation by regeneration; this is what I call, Salvation by Liberation – from Egypt, a type for this age.

Deliver means to set free or hand over. Liberate means to be freed from domination. Deliverance acts on the object that has been oppressed. Liberation acts on behalf of the subject that has been oppressed and works against the oppressor. Liberty must wait for a liberated person to exercise the rights conferred upon him by his liberation. Liberation is an option. Christ has delivered every believer from the power of darkness. Even Christ must wait until those He has delivered come into the liberation that He has provided.

Passover was an observance accompanied by the slaughter of a lamb. God commanded Israel to observe
