Thank you for taking the time to read this informational resource. There is so much to learn about dogs and Bull terriers and they have so much to teach us. I know this book will be a great reference and much help to you and your family with your dog. I hope you also enjoy all the actual photos from my dogs. I am blessed to have owned and worked with great dogs. This breed is amazing. Thank you to Ryan Dickerson for supporting me. Xoxo to my Bella Star and Venus Dee Star the Bull Terriers.

    Origin

The early 1500’s in the United Kingdom is the origin of the bull terrier. It is said in England during the early industrial time. They are both still active today. In 1934, Major Count VC Hollandender states in his book The Bull Terrier and All About It his belief that the dog was composed from Foxhounds, Mastiffs, Dalmatians, White Collies, Greyhounds, Whippets, Bulldogs, and White English Terriers. In earlier breeding days there were no supervision of stud books or breeding records, like AKC, UKC and CKC, we have come a long way today with records, pedigrees, and tracing dogs linage back.  Hinks and his son were responsible for the white, muscular and considered attractive bull terrier dogs. They had grace, style, soundness and a new exciting breed at that time.  Hinks introduced the first bull terrier at the 1860 Birmingham Show.  James Hinks was also known as the Father of the Bull Terrier. A famous B.T. from 1934 was Patsy Ann, a white homeless bull terrier, native
