Dr. Davis directs a group of scientists who have defined molecular mechanisms for many non-genomic, plasma membrane-initiated actions of thyroid hormone, including actions on plasma membrane ion transporters, intracellular protein trafficking, phosphorylation of nuclear hormone receptors and of p53 and on transcription of specific genes. He has 5 patents issued and 25 US and international applications pending. Dr. Davis is a US Faculty Head in Endocrinology of the Faculty of 1000 Medicine and a member of the Endocrine Society, American Thyroid Association, American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, American Diabetes Association, American Association for Cancer Research and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Amori Taiyou glanced around his dorm room, one like any other. It was more like a high class apartment, a full kitchen near the entrance, a breakfast table separated living room from kitchen, with two bedrooms, and one full bathroom. Everything could have been designed by a famous modern designer.
There were only three other like it, though only the layout.
Kita Academy wasn't the average school. The chairman and founder of the school carefully choose the students themselves, choosing who would get in on a scholarship and who would have to pay the incredibly high fees. Most of the students came from the upper class.
Taiyou's family was the academy's number one patron. Most of the school's funding came from the Amori family. Taiyou's father was the chairman and close friends with the founder.
Although the area had two rooms Taiyou had the place to himself.
Dorm living wasn't mandatory, but Taiyou found more company living at the dorms than at the main house.
The air felt strange, like a strange pressure filled the room.
Taiyou opened his mouth, stretching his jaw, trying to pop his ears.
The air tasted off. Someone else had been in the room.
Shrugging it off for a maid, Taiyou moved towards the bathroom.
The pressure seemed immense, and Taiyou's senses told him someone else was in the room.
Nothing appeared to be off.
His eyes stopped on the mirror.
The young male only appeared in the mirror. He had shaggy platinum hair, and was stitching his side with a needle and... fishing line? He was grotesquely scrawny, Taiyou could see his stomach cave in and his bones poke out.
Taiyou nearly gasped at the pale lavender eyes that stared at him. The ghost's eyes widened and jaw tightened.
Fucking mirrors,
He said under his breath.
The pressure released and
