      Introduction

      I have always enjoyed writing poetry. It allows me to leave my mind and soul on paper

      and revisit them whenever necessary. Originally I decided to collect these

      poems into a book only for the novelty of having a copy of my own book, but as more

      and more people stroll in and out of my life I have found that at least one of them may

      benefit from my work. And so, this collection is for those who know me to attempt to

      understand me better and for those who do not know me to get a good picture of who I am.

      I can guarantee that no individual will like all of the poems because they all differ

      greatly. Many may find some of the verses offensive, in which case I apologize. Yet, I

      implore that those people continue reading because, again, the poems vary. With all of that

      said, I can assure that every reader will find something that resonates with him or her.

      I acknowledge that I too am human, after years of hoping otherwise, and therefore know that
