Outside of mom and dad, grandparents are the people most likely to lead a young boy or girl to faith in Jesus Christ. Mark Holmen offers a wonderful primer to help grandparents embrace this awesome and wonderful privilege.

There has never been a more important time for grandparents to play a significant role in the life and faith development of their families. All studies show that a grandparent’s influence in the life of his or her grandchildren is extremely significant. Mark Holmen is one of the central figures and leaders in helping families thrive spiritually around the world. This booklet is beautifully written and incredibly practical. Grandparents finally have a wonderful resource to help them impact the faith of their family.

I appreciate the work Pastor Mark Holmen has done with Faith At Home Ministries over the years and I especially appreciate this book he has written for grandparents. In Faith @Home Grandparents Pastor Mark identifies the common roadblocks many grandparents face when seeking to be spiritual influences in the lives of their adult children and grandchildren and then he provides very practical ways grandparents can overcome those difficulties.

Dedication
Dedication%20Photo.jpgThis book is dedicated to the memory of Myrne Jeannette Holmen, my mom, who was tragically killed in a car accident in May of 2013. She was taking her normal weekly journey to a nearby town to run errands when a semi-truck ran through a stop sign leaving her nowhere to go but to collide into the side of his truck. She battled violently for eight days before she went to be with the Lord on May 2 of 2013. I was able to be with her, holding her hand, as she took her last breath—something for which I will always be grateful.
My mom was the epitome of Faith@Home and I wouldn’t be the missionary, husband, father, pastor, speaker or writer that I am without her constant unconditional love and steady encouraging and supportive influence. If you wanted to see a Faith@Home person you needed to look no further than Myrne Holmen as spending just five minutes with her would leave you feeling blessed and encouraged. One of the greatest examples of this was showcased by the people who attended her celebration of life service that included not only family and friends, but everyday people who were influenced by her, including the pharmacy workers, local gallery owners who closed their store to attend, bank attendants and her favorite waitress!
If the ministry of Faith @Home or this book is a blessing to you then you have two people to thank; our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and my mom Myrne Holmen. A designated fund has been established in her memory that will be used to underwrite international and/or urban ministry Faith@Home outreach events or seminars. My mom had a passion to see the Faith@Home message spread both internationally and into urban environments. She always wished she could travel with me on many of my international trips.
