My Journey
bai-si-01.jpgAfter messing around with various martial arts over a great amount of years, I learned a many things in the arts but I never really dedicated myself to just one. My father and I went off to Judo or aikido classes and I took myself off to Karate classes. One day I finally decided I was going to do one martial art till the end, but which one, I had no clue, so having the internet at my disposal I started to look around, I joined martial arts bulletin boards and asked questions, I did web searches to see what was in my area and when I was looking for more information I approached or emailed the school.
I had a bit of a head start doing other martial arts before, so I looked at various kung fu styles and tried to really get in to Aikido but I was really struggling with the Japanese, I finally found Jeet Kune Do and took a look at the art via a DVD and spotted another style on the DVD called Wing Chun, having a trained eye I could see there was lot I could learn from this art, and started looking for a local school.
Unfortunately I could not find a local school, but I was not going to give up, I looked for the closest schools to me and evaluated the logistics of getting there and back in the same evening but the distance was too great.
As I examined the art more closely I started to recognise the main masters of the art from those who had got on the electronic media band wagon and had started creating DVD’s and books which I found on eBay and Amazon.
Being brand new to the art I started dropping emails to the prominent masters in my area in the hope I could get some tuition but as a beginner I was not always responded to
