About this ebook
Wise, encouraging pastoral reflections on growing in Christ
"When I clothe myself with Jesus, he leaves me room to grow — which is a good thing because, God knows, I'm still growing. I put on Jesus as I would a new and ill-fitting outfit — in order that someday it might fit and be a fitting expression of who I have become."
— from Martin Copenhaver's preface
In this volume of rich pastoral meditations, Martin Copenhaver offers rare insight into the myriad ways we try to live the Christian life, showing us that there is indeed "room to grow" in Christ and into the Christian faith. Moving seamlessly from the gently humorous to the thoughtfully serious, these reflections will renew and inspire Christians in their daily walk.

Reviews for Room to Grow

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A very nice compilation of Bible verses and examples of how they affected this Church of Christ minister. I found it soothing to read one every few days before bed. Copenhaver writes in a down-to-earth style—one that assures accessibility to the reader. This book does not try to be a heavy theological tome, but rather captures the essence of a “man of the cloth”—heavy on the “man” in that phrase. This is a person whom I would turn to with my troubles, knowing he does not believe himself to be a saint beyond reach.
