Slaughtered at school

On 26 May 2018, a small cattle-farming community was shaken when two teenage girls were found dead.

Sharnelle Hough, 17, and her cousin Marna Engelbrecht, 16, were loved by all who knew them.

Now, their friends and family were left heartbroken.

The girls attended Stella High School, in the North West territory of South Africa where, like many students, they lodged in a hostel on site. Both had promising futures ahead.
