    This form of art treatment has become popular among adults as well as children just because it is a relaxing exercise that can take your mind off of other things. Research studies have revealed that the geometric circles referred to as mandalas can be especially helpful over other types of illustrations.

    What Is a Mandala?

    In Sanskrit, the word mandala means circle. Circles are an effective sign found in each culture. We see them in halos, prayer wheels, and other spiritual symbols and also architecture and nature.

    Mandalas are spiritual circles that have long been used to assist in meditation in the Indian and Tibetan religious beliefs of Hinduism and Buddhism. Many other faiths, including but not limited to Christianity and Taoism, have integrated mandalas into their spiritual practices as well.

    Mandalas could be real drawings or paintings. They could also be short-term creations, like sand mandalas, which are usually ceremoniously taken apart after completion. The primary circle shape of a mandala is filled with a range of geometric shapes and symbols. These are usually repeated in symmetrical patterns using strong color designs.
