This is an easy read introduction to the macro foundations that influence and forecast stock market directions. It isn't a timing tool but rather a road map for interpreting market direction and temperature. It lays out simply what you need to pay attention to when building a confidence model or dash board for assessing market investment which is directly influenced by the business-economic cycle, interest rates, Fx and commodities. Understand these and the equity road map will start to make sense. But this is only an introduction for you to explore deeper later with other specialist books. There's a few interesting takeaways that will help you plot market direction and confidence and each chapter ends with review questions and exercises to help you actively learn referencing free web sites to test and play with in building your understanding.I'm giving this book four stars and adding it to my short list because even though it's modest reading, the topics are foundational making this a great starting point to understanding the investment scene. You have to know the big picture first. The Macro.
