No doubt you’ve heard the saying, “It’s not about the destination but about the journey.” For knifemakers passionate about their craft, that journey has many roads they can follow. One is the draw of the bowie, an incredible knife with a legendary past connected to the American West. In so many ways it is considered an American icon—so much so that worldwide the knife is tied to U.S. history. From great battles such as the Alamo to everyday defense on the frontier, the bowie has been there.
