Martha Stephenson

Martha is a chef and a cookbook author. She has had a love of all things culinary since she was old enough to help in the kitchen, and hasn’t wanted to leave the kitchen since. She was born and raised in Illinois, and grew up on a farm, where she acquired her love for fresh, delicious foods. She learned many of her culinary abilities from her mother; most importantly, the need to cook with fresh, homegrown ingredients if at all possible, and how to create an amazing recipe that everyone wants. This gave her the perfect way to share her skill with the world; writing cookbooks to spread the message that fresh, healthy food really can, and does, taste delicious. Now that she is a mother, it is more important than ever to make sure that healthy food is available to the next generation. She hopes to become a household name in cookbooks for her delicious recipes, and healthy outlook.Martha is now living in California with her high school sweetheart, and now husband, John, as well as their infant daughter Isabel, and two dogs; Daisy and Sandy. She is a stay at home mom, who is very much looking forward to expanding their family in the next few years to give their daughter some siblings. She enjoys cooking with, and for, her family and friends, and is waiting impatiently for the day she can start cooking with her daughter.

It’s All About the Dumplings!

Dumplings are a complete meal in one single bite! Based off of a simple process there's no secret that dumplings can carry the same popular status in America as burgers or even tacos. Even though it has originated from Chinese culture it is quickly becoming one of the most popular and even historic dishes made in the United States today. However, many people fear that they do not know how to make dumplings the correct way and in this section you will learn everything you have ever needed to know about making dumplings from the comfort of your own home.

All About the Wrappers

The wrappers of your dumplings will make up the most important part of your dumplings. Usually you can make your wrapper by just kneading dough, allowing it to rest and rolling it out a bunch of times. What is more is that the ingredients that you will use to make your wrappers are incredibly simple as they only consist of flour and water.

For the best results I highly recommend using at least two cups of flour and one cup of boiled water to make your wrappers. Then place your dough into a plastic bag and allow it to rest for at least 30 minutes before dividing it up and 2 to 3 equal size pieces. Once you have done this make sure that you flatten it until it is almost paper thin and then you can finally pack it with your filling.
