The Integrated Life: A Blueprint for Balancing Passion with Career, Diet with Health & Sexuality with Relationship
()
About this ebook
This book is intended as an introduction to and overview of Walt F.J. Goodridge's
series of life enhancement philosophies and formulas. This
is the beginning of several conversations that you can continue in the individual
books in each series.
I've written this blueprint because I've observed that in the pursuit of economic survival, bodily sustenance and social acceptance: (1) people often disregard their passion in order to focus on a practical career, (2) people often allow their diet to undermine their health, and (3) people often deny their sexual and gender wiring in order to conform to societal concepts of relationship. Therein lies the majority of unhappiness in our modern life.
Instead of the usual choices above, however, it is possible to live what I refer to as an integrated life--a life in which your passion is integrated into your means of securing financial survival; your food choices actually help your body stay young, reverse aging and heal itself, and your choice of partners and relationship structure supports your deepest desires, honors your fantasies and affirms your gender wiring; a life in which it is recognized and honored that each of these areas complements and facilitates the other two.
That's right. The Integrated Life is not just about balancing passion with career, diet with health and sexuality with relationship as three separate areas of your life. It is also about recognizing, honoring and optimizing the interrelationships among each of the unique pairs of ideas. It's a tri-laterally supportive construct. Your passion-centered career feeds your health and your relationships. Your food-based diet and health facilitate the pursuit of your passion and improves your relationships. Your transparent relationships support your health and can facilitate your passion-centered career.
This blueprint will map out a strategy for making it happen.

"Once upon a time, there was a Jamaican civil engineer living in New York City who hated his job. He followed his passion, started a sideline business publishing his own books, quit his job, escaped the rat race, ran off to a tropical island in the Pacific, and started a tourism business so he could give tours of the island to pretty girls every day! He now lives a nomadpreneur's dream life, while helping others do the same!"Read the long version at : http://waltgoodridge.com/walt/

Introduction
Why I wrote this blueprint
I've written this blueprint because I've observed that in the pursuit of economic survival, bodily sustenance and social acceptance, people often (1) disregard their passion in order to focus on a practical career, (2) allow their diet and food choices to undermine their health, and (3) deny their sexual and gender wiring in order to conform to societal concepts of relationship. Therein lies the majority of unhappiness in our modern life. People are not effectively integrating passion, diet and gender wiring into their careers, health and relationships in order to live what I call The Integrated Life.
Why this matters
Now, why should you even care about creating and living the integrated life? I predict this idea will be the next new thing in our water cooler and social media conversations. A few years ago, I wrote a book titled Turn Your Passion into Profit. The timing was right. Shortly after I coined that phrase, several authors released books of similar titles, the concept of following one's passion took on a life of its own and we all enjoyed many interviews about it. Today, the idea of following one's passion is firmly embedded in public dialogue. Well, the time is ripe for another advancement of thought, and the same thing is about to happen again. Call it a hunch.
The main goal of The Integrated Life is to help you become your own authority in three critical areas of your life: your career, your health and your relationships, and as a result, be more productive, fulfilled and, as a result, enjoy life to a greater degree.
When these three areas of your life are integrated and then balanced, here’s what can happen:
(a) When your passion and career are integrated (i.e., your passion is the central component of your income strategy as a passionpreneur), you live a passion-centered life and thus spend more time doing the things you love, and less time chasing other people's goals or concepts of success.
(b) When your diet (food choices) and health are integrated, you live a real food
centered life eating in ways that activate and maintain your body's healing code,
and thus, you don't feel at the mercy of chance when it comes to your health.
(c) When your sexuality and relationships are integrated, you experience transparent, truth-centered relationships in which you maintain your standards, embrace your wiring,
and consequently, your relationships are more satisfying.
If it sounds like a tall order, it really isn’t. We all intuitively know that this is a worthy ideal. The fact is, we are all already doing this to some degree or other. We all already strive to create the integrated life every day we are alive. It's difficult to be human and not have the integrated life manifest to some degree. The challenge is that many of us, quite honestly, are not very good at it. For example, some of us may be living a 70 20 10
integration in which we have a 70% focus on career, 20% focus on health and only 10% focus and success in our relationship satisfaction. The challenge will be learning how to see each integrated pair as not only related, but complementary and to see each one as vital to the creation, existence, sustainability and optimization of the other two.
Yes, this blueprint will give you a convenient way of conceptualizing what you are already attempting to do in your life so that you can be more successful at it!
Here are a few questions this blueprint will answer:
What does the integrated life look like?
What are the benefits of living the integrated life?
Why is society, by its very nature the greatest challenge to constructing the integrated life?
How and why does simply being aware of the construct of the integrated life help a person achieve it?
Are television/media/advertising preventing me from integrating my career, health and relationships?
What If I’m not ready or able to start addressing all three areas? Does it matter which area I focus on first? Is there a preferred sequence?
What if I don't shift or change all the areas in my life that comprise the integrated life? Which is the most important one to change?
How will I know when my life is fully integrated?
How
