RESUMPTION DID PSL JUMP THE GUN?

Another standoff between Safa and its special member the PSL is on the cards. This follows the league’s decision to resume the season next weekend – which flies against Safa’s stance that there will be no football until at least next month.

City Press has reliably learnt that the mother body did not take the league’s pronouncement well, accusing it of jumping the gun.

On Friday, acting PSL chief executive Mato Madlala wrote to Safa informing it of the league’s board of governors’ meeting on Thursday, which resolved to restart the season next weekend.
