ANC suffers from a DELUSION of self-righteousness

I can, without fear of contradiction, expect a social media outcry claiming that the ANC is under attack and calling on its loyal members to rise to its defence. I expect this because it has become a regular event that, when the ANC is being called to account for its reckless decisions and positions, certain elements within it call these “attacks” on the party.

But why?

The decision to promote the former mayor of eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality, Zandile Gumede, to the KwaZulu-Natal provincial legislature this week has been met with harsh criticism from the citizenry. Not because the people hate Gumede, but because she is facing serious embezzlement charges relating to her former position.
