Baking, Snacks and Treats

So how many of us like to eat something sweet? Want to have a dessert but feel like it’s going to go over your daily caloric intake? Well this book provides some homemade baking recipes that is better and healthy for you and does not provide those unhealthy artificial preservatives.

Before we get started: When wanting a dessert don’t you feel a bit guilty for cooking those cookies or brownies or tasty pastries you have been craving for? Want to bake without a bad healthy choice mistake?

Here are some handy tips: Instead of 1 stick of butter> use 1 cup of apple sauce

Or 1 cup of plain yogurt or instead of using one whole egg use 1/4 of a cup of egg substitute

It comes out almost the same but with less calories.

Let me share a few personal baking recipes, this is good for a craving when you want to cheat on your diet, but you’re really not cheating at all. It’s half the calories of a normal high calorie goodie but taste like it is the same you will not know the difference.

Hot fudgy brownie


3/4 cup bleached flour

1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. Salt

1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

1/2 cup baking cocoa

1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract

1/4 egg substitute

Prepping: Spray pam on the Brownie pan, then preheat to 350 degrees and let cook for about 15 minutes, but make sure you keep an eye on it, check on brownies after seven minutes. Let cool for about 10 minutes and add your add-ons or eat as is.

Servings: about 12 brownies

Calories: 150 calories per serving

Spice it up and drizzle a light touch of fudge and treat yourself with a scoop of cool whip which totals an extra 50 calories

How about cookie? Cookies are addicting, you can never have just one, but here’s a tip: Make mini cookies it will trick your belly to think you’re eating more than you think.



1 cup of Whole Wheat Flour

1 tablespoon Sugar

2 tablespoons Brown Sugar

1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda

1/4 teaspoon Salt

1 tablespoon Olive Oil

3 tablespoons Almond Milk

1/2 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract

4 tablespoons Mini Chocolate Chips

Prepping: Spray pam on cookie pan. Pour all ingredients into mixing bowl. Can stir using a big spoon, or use blender. Use a teaspoon, fill teaspoon with mixture and space out each scoop by 1 1/2 inches. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Let the cookies cook for about 15 minutes or until you notice the cookies to be golden brown. Take out oven and let sit for
