INTRODUCTION
Too often, when I ask someone a question wanting to know if they have a bad memory. The automatic answer I get is a definite yes!
The next question I ask them is if they can forget that they lend someone a million dollars. And this time, they give me a categorical no. Obviously not! When I ask them the reason, they simply say, How can you forget something like that.
Returning to the original question: Why do you think you have a bad memory?
This time they give me a new excuse.
If you have not been diagnosed with a brain-reducing disease, there is no bad memory. In addition, there is also no good memory. What most of us have is an inexperienced mind that can be nurtured to develop razor-sharp brain and steel-trap memory. The main reason why some of us think we can't do it is that we expect it to happen almost immediately and hope that they can take a pill that would instantly increase their memory capacity.
While some foods can keep our memory capacity intact in a way, it's actually training our brain to remember what we want and remembers it when we want to that matters. At a recent seminar, I had an 80-year-old gentleman who, after learning to remember, quickly remembered a long list of words. In fact, it is proof that age does not necessarily destroy our memory. Think
