With my art I want to create another world apart from the existing. My work is not about concrete stories derived from reality, but about creating an atmosphere that evokes associations and contemplations. Women are usually pictured from the outside, their appearance is what matters. In this way beauty ideals are confirmed over and over again. My work is about expressing the inner world of women by making portraits that show feelings such as despair and doubt, loneliness, dreaminess, serenity and sensuality.
My aim is to create a mysterious atmosphere. My photos sometimes look like paintings. Others resemble slowly fading frescoes, dissolving in a fluid atmosphere. The photos are based on arranged scenes with performers, which I have captured in photo and video. This book consists of different series that were taken between 2011 and 2020.
