THE British Nutrition Foundation (BNF) was set up more than 50 years ago in 1967, by the leading doctor and nutrition scientist Prof Alistair Frazer, who reportedly enjoyed good food and wine as much as he did his research and teaching. Established as a charity, its aims included stimulating nutrition research, supporting education on food and providing evidence-based information on diet and health for the public.
