    Introduction

I have always considered sleep paralysis to be far worse than any nightmare, mainly because this is a real issue that occurs between the time that your mind has woken up and your body still remains in a paralyzed sleep state. In Terrifying Nights, We will discuss and theorize the frightening experience known as sleep paralysis.

As with any ancient subject, it’s impossible to have a full picture of what is going on. We do know and understand one thing, this condition has been a part of sleep since we have had sleep. It has fascinated mankind for centuries and will most likely fascinate us for centuries to come. Not only will it interest us but also horrify those who have experienced it first hand.

This book is meant to be helpful to anybody who may be silently suffering through sleep paralysis. My encounters begin in childhood and I took them with me into adulthood. During my first four-seven experiences, I had no understanding of what was happening to me. At the time there was google and the web, however, it wasn't as accessible and commonplace as it is today. Not sure if any books existed on the subject at the time. (I didn't come across any)

So, I just went through them as they came until I had the resources to get some information on the whole thing. Every time I found something out, it drove me to learn more. It seems that everybody had an idea or explanation for sleep paralysis.

Sleep paralysis is something you only want to talk about with others who have experienced it or if you don’t know anybody then you are left to find answers on your own because others who haven't experienced it won't understand.

By the time I was 20 years old and looking for answers I've
