The Long Game

The Tudor house and medieval buildings sit towards the centre of the garden. Originally set out by Lutyens as a collection of formal spaces, the late Christopher Lloyd, avid plantsman, gardener and author, and head gardener Fergus Garrett turned the gardens into a riot of colour, form and texture, with plants jostling for space. Well-known for unusual plants from around the world, this Arts & Crafts garden is a feast for the senses.
