TAKING CONTROL

Staring at the familiar green lettering ahead, I took a deep breath. Sat in my car at my local Asda car park, I clung on to the steering wheel, sweat dripping from my palms.

You can do this , I thought, trying to convince myself to get out of the car and go inside.

But, with my heart pounding like a hammer in my chest and my stomach doing somersaults, there was nothing for it.

No one knew I'd lost a baby

Feeling embarrassed and ashamed, I started the car, drove home empty handed.
