      the old story of abuse.

      he beat you to shame

      you slept on your side

      your eyelids are broken

      your nose felt misplaced

      your lips burst.

      your eyes gone in darkness.

      in the mirror you see someone totally

      different because that is not you.

      swollen with pain and still he came for sex.

      a heartless monster. and you gave it up and packed the pain on top of the many pain

      just pretending to be okay but you not.      

      and on your way to therapy when the pain comes  again you started to check yourself to see if this is the man you had begged the world for-

      for he's only tears of regrets.

      'what have i done' you asked yourself

      and you don't know

      how to answer your soul.

      or how to tell yourself how sorry you are.
