About this ebook

A Nonfiction book by an Ex-Nasa researcher setting the record straight about the important Paranormal sensation, the Electronic Voice Phenomenon *EVP'.

Using forensics he proves that this amazing phenomenon is not just REAL but has profound significance for all of us.

In his analysis he obliterates the personal-agenda driven fake-news publicity coming from some areas of Academia. And, in particular, in this regard, it addresses the BBC, and its failure to provide balanced and verifiable content.

It pinpoints assertions that have held up the progress of science for decades, and which need to be called to account.

It is lavishly illustrated, and provides - through examples - an appreciation of and training in the use of forensic tools, in this case.

It is suitable for both the reader making a first encounter with the subject, and for those well versed in it, as well as the broader scientific community.

It has significance for all.

EVP – Scientific Proof

Introduction

this book is a response to attacks on the Electronic Voice Phenomenon, (EVP), and those of us who are involved with EVP.

These attacks always come from the technically illiterate and the ill-informed. And the situation is made worse by such attacks being broadcast world-wide even by such ostensibly fair-minded organisations such as the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

According to a 2018 BBC program, repeated in 2019, we who are involved in investigating EVP are related to,

Psychosis. Medical signs. Hallucinations. Effects of Psychoactive drugs. Auditory Hallucinations.

(Appendix C)

You see how scientific it is? ‘Medical Signs’

What on Earth are ‘Medical Signs?

Perhaps you, like me, have ‘medical signs’ – such as those more commonly known as Vital Signs - like a regular heartbeat at a normal rate, and if one breaths on a mirror it mists up.

In this book actual evidence will be presented, to show through forensic analysis that EVP: –

Is not a random event.

Is not radio or acoustic pick-up.

Voice Print technology will be introduced to show that we are dealing with actual speech, not Static.

We will show that the content of utterances indicate that the speakers are intelligent and sentient.

We will show – on the basis of results from a large international program - that questions can produce in-time and in-context responses - at a level well-above chance.

In places we need to be a bit technical, but in those sections, the subject is introduced gradually, so that it can be understood easily, piece-by-piece – for those less familiar with the subject.

Use this book to make your case. Weaponize it.

Let’s put an end to defamation.

For too long we have been regarded as soft-targets.

Chapter One

EVP – stands for the Electronic Voice Phenomenon.

And that refers to the recording of voices, speaking – for which there is no known cause. The voices shouldn’t be there.

Apparently.

These voices are recorded using electronic equipment – computers, recorders – but the voices should not be there – there is no reason for them.

The easy way out – at least for the non-scientific person – is to simply deny that these voices exist.

One example of that is the Englishman, Professor Wiseman, a one-time notable TV personality, who says that they are just "static."

What he says and has said – broadcast – on television - is that the voices are not real – they are just "static."

We will take a look at that - with voiceprints, scientific forensic evidence - in due course. Remember this is the verdict of a Professor and so should be accorded suitable respect.

Another way of denying that the voices exist is to simply dismiss them as being due to nothing more than that the person who hears them is deluded or has hearing difficulties.

Well – just a couple of fairly obvious points about that right now –

One. A person who hears audible hallucinations will hear them with or without any EVP experiments being done. That condition would be a known factor. For additional commentary on this condition, see Appendix A.

Two. If the person is just mistaken - that means having comprehension problems, that too would show up whether or not that person was involved in an EVP experiment. That condition would also be a known factor.

Any results from such people should be discounted accordingly.

What is extremely unscientific, not to say discourteous and illogical, is for someone – however eminent - who lives perhaps thousands of miles away, to attribute adverse psychological and or audiological characteristics to people that they have never even met or seen their medical records.

The fact is that the people who have evidence of EVP are - in the overwhelming majority, not known to fall into either of the categories, One, or Two, above.

They do not suffer from auditory hallucinations, nor do they have difficulty in comprehending speech.

To suggest that they do, may be defamatory.

They are just ordinary listeners like anybody else.

And furthermore - some will have been tested beforehand for their accuracy in understanding recorded speech.

There are a series of standard tests, known as Intelligibility Tests, and a growing number of those involved in EVP experimentation have taken these
