Synopsis
This play addresses an unspoken yearning for most law-abiding citizens in this country, that are abhorred by the continued violence that blights some parts of this country if not in particular London and its current trend of knifings on top of acid attacks, on top of loathsome hoodies.
I am from Greater London originally (born in Kingston upon Thames), and the current trend of violence being reported all over the country is alarming. I watched with vigilance when the last 2011 riots ascended the country and luckily, stopped short of Bradford. However, the Bradford riot in 1995 has left its scars.
It is an attempt to look back at the more uncivilised if not barbaric ways in which this country has used capital punishment to control the behaviour of its citizens and why they all failed.
Having said that, in their absence, there still is no cure for murder!
