The good and bad about Namibia

At the beginning of October 2019, my wife, Marianne, and I passed through the Alexander Bay/Oranjemund border post for an extended Namibian tour. We drive a Ford Ranger and tow a Skipper Oyster caravan. The border crossing was effortless and we were through within 15 minutes.

Our first overnight stop was Shark Island and we travelled via Rosh Pinah to Lüderitz. The road is now tarred all the way and you don’t need a permit like in the old days. The scenery is still
