Yukon is a polar bear cub who enjoys the company of his mother and loves play-fighting with her or sliding down the slopes. One day, due to ice thawing and thinning, his mother falls between two blocks of sea ice and is badly injured. Yukon runs to get help but is stranded on an ice floe that drifts into open waters and leaves his injured mother behind. Will he be able to survive in the wilderness without his mother?
