Introduction
Have you ever tried to lose weight, but you finally quit in defeat because you felt deprived, exhausted, and downright grumpy? Some people quit eating plans based on calorie restriction because they simply cannot do it day after day, even when the diet is successful.
Why is losing weight so hard? Why is keeping it off even harder? Why do you start off full force and then lose steam after a short while?
There are many different ways to lose weight. One that has become popular in recent years is called intermittent fasting; a way of eating that involves regular short-term fasts.
Intermittent fasting is not a diet. It is a timed approach to eating. Unlike a dietary plan that restricts where calories come from, intermittent fasting does
