The man behind the Duchess of Cambridge’s amazing hair is here to help HELLO! readers keep their locks looking salon-fresh in lockdown. Richard Ward, who also treats the tresses of the Countess of Wessex, Pippa Middleton and a host of celebrities, says that, like Kate, you too can look your best on video calls.

“The way Kate did her hair for an Easter video call with schoolchildren was a great example of how to appear. She looked fantastic. It looked like she had pulled her hair back and tied it with a scrunchie or something, and perhaps back-combed it to give it a bit of height.

“Remember, whatever you see in the mirror is all anyone else is going to see, so preparing for a video call should only be a five-minute job. If you have a fringe you can tie the rest of your hair back, and just wet or wash the fringe or style the sides with curling tongs or straightening irons.
