Little Things Which Make a Difference: Collected Articles 2015-2018
()
About this ebook
The purpose of this collection is firstly to connect, reflect and share ideas with the world and secondly to inspire people who read in English to start writing themselves. This is a collection of Ali Anthony Bell’s written opinion articles published on Linked-In Pulse in chronological order from the very first article of one single paragraph in April 2015 to the most recent articles of 2018. The articles have not been edited, they are in their original form, so that the reader can notice the evolution of the writing style and effectiveness over the three years. The articles are all opinion articles, and aim to discuss the common values that make us human.
The author hopes that other people will be influenced to write and share their ideas, having set an example by starting with an article of one single paragraph and arriving at publishing complete works of fiction and non-fiction after 5 years.

To do this, Morocco needs the English language, and this has become my reason and purpose: to help individuals to improve their communication skills in English, and in this way, to also help Morocco."Ali Anthony BellAli Anthony Bell has been teaching English in Morocco since 2010. 1) The Door Opener: a Dream, L'ouvreur-des-portes: un rêve

I open a car door for an important man, he stops, shakes my hand with both hands and with a sincere smile on a truly friendly face he says Thank you for opening the door for me, I couldn’t have done that better myself
and at that moment I know that he himself had opened many doors for others.

Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.
Pablo Picasso
When I was a child, I wanted to become an artist. By Picasso, I was already an artist as a child, like every child. I love the feeling I get when I’m painting, so I guess I’m still an artist. What is important is not whether people think that what you do is beautiful, but just the fact of doing it.
I remember my first Studio Arts Painting class at University. The first day of class; we had all brought all our new paints and brushes, but the teacher told us to put it all away. She gave us each one big paintbrush, one tube of white paint and one tube of black paint and said, work with this, make something beautiful
. I was really astonished at what I was able to do with that minimum material. That was a Great art teacher. You don’t need to have a palette of 20 colours and 20 different brushes to make a great painting.
Being creative; drawing, painting, shaping, *and putting things together is not only enjoyable, but it helps to learn other things as well. When we build or create something we’re using different parts of the brain, when we do this while learning languages it creates links
to help us remember the words we learned. So, because children are all artists (Picasso said it, and he’s the best one to know!) let them express their creativity and they’ll be having fun while they learn!
Your teacher,
Ali Anthony Bell
*English language note: I’ve used the Oxford comma before the word and
. This is something which we lost in English and is making a comeback recently. "I had biscuits, tea, and orange juice for breakfast.(not

Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life
Confucius
Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle.
Steve Jobs
When I was young I wanted to be a painter, an artist. I got my first set of oil paints when I was 10 years old, and it was like something magic happened. I was sure that was what I
